The start of the cancer

Andrew (thats me) is a 46 year old former geologist, and I always had short hair, suited & booted for work. I grew my hair added a big swathe of purple and married Leslie in August of 2009.

In March of 2010 Leslie was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus. And so it begins…

The post operation testing showed there to be a second “spot” on an ovary. This upgraded the problem to Stage 3 cancer. This meant that Leslie will undergo 6 sessions chimotherapy over a 18 week period and it is more than likely that she will lose her hair.

To show my support for Leslie, I am having my head shaved and the whole lot taken off.

We are using this head shave event as a catalyst and an awareness event for cancer and to raise as much as we can for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The date of the event is to be announced and will take place when Leslies hair falls out, so probably towards the end of August or early September.

So please show your support and donate whatever you can. Click on the link to my justgiving page.

Thank you

Andrew, of the purple hair.
